Train ‘Em Up

Today I got a reply.  That was Wednesday.  Today is Monday.  And all I want to do is tend my garden and not think about the school because today she is at home with me.  No acting under duress. No pull outs or reprimands.  Today she is with me.  And I just want to tend my garden.

Tash…it hurts my heart to hear of your struggle…but as you said, our education system does not see Chunka’s ABILITIES only her DISabilities…very sad…but like the RED-Nose Pitbull…I know you have latched on and won’t let go!! GO MOM!!!

Oh Taasha, your writing takes you right to the heart of the matter. It makes me want to yell at these teachers and say teach the child in the best way they can learn. Your struggle for an adequate education for your DD should not be this hard. Your faith, fight and determination for your sweet pea is amazing. I have watched you these past five years and what you have done would have shattered most people’s ability to cope. But you have persevered and I just say fight on and make those in charge accountable.
